New Updates and Reminders!

Thanks to everyone who has been frequently viewing my blog. I appreciate your support.

I have added a new tab to the top of the page for Homework. You can check there for your child's homework, if he/she should misplace it. It is in PDF so that you can print it if needed. 

The second grade homework expectations have changed. Your scholar will be given a WEEKLY Math Homework sheet that will have the math homework for the entire week on it. They will get this sheet every Monday. They are to complete the math homework on the sheet unless otherwise stated and turn it in on Friday.

They will also be given a MONTHLY homework calendar for Reading and Social Studies. The calendar is stapled into the their new Homework Notebook and  they are to complete this homework in that notebook. Students are expected to turn the homework notebook in each Friday.

Reminders:
Our field trip is on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012. We will leave the school at approx. 9am. Chaperones may ride the bus with the students. If you have not paid the $8 to chaperon, then you must do so at the door. If you indicated on the permission slip that your child will bring a lunch from home, please remember to send them to school with a lunch. We will be eating lunch later than usual, so PLEASE make sure your scholar has eaten breakfast (or gets to school early enough to have breakfast in the cafeteria).

Green Team Party will be Friday, Oct. 12, 2012. Those students who are invited received an "invitation" on Monday. Please help make this Green Team Party a success by donating one (or more) of the following items: cupcakes, plates, chips, juice boxes, treat bags, green table cloths, green balloons, etc. All items MUST be store bought.
Those students who are eligible to attend the Green Team Party are those students who:
Have 3 or less yellows, 0 Blues or Reds, and 0 Office referrals for the month of September.
